Palladian Definition
Palladian is a term in architecture that is used to refer to the neoclassical architectural style of Andrea Palladio (who lived during the 16th century) and the architectural style that was developed in Britain and European countries inspired by Andrea Palladio's style. Palladian architecture gained fame in English architecture during the 17th and 18th centuries. Palladian work is based on the concept of symmetry and adapts values and perspective on the classical temple architecture of the Romans and Greeks of the ancient period.
