Patron Definition
Patron in art means a person who gives support to an art physically as well as emotionally. Patron may be a sponsor or a donor who contribute a backing to artist in need of it. Patron may also be a sponsor of an event or a donor who donates to an art for its successful running. Till 19th century, Europe had lots patrons of art like merchants and industrialists who were rich and wealthy. There were also patrons from Churches and noble leaders.
