Photomechanical graphic is a process of using printing plates for print images. Photomechanical process involves colour separation in which different printing plates are made for different components of colour in the picture. The basic colour plates are blue, red, yellow and black. This type of printing is usually seen in printed periodicals +which was common before the digital photography became popular.
