Riffler is a small tool which is used for filing or scraping concave surfaces. It is mainly used for wood carving, sculpture work, die making, shaping moulds etc. It is a doubled edged tool and helps to file in irregular spaces. The edges are found in different shapes. There are basically two types of rifflers: die sinker's rifflers and silversmith's rifflers. They are also known as riffler files.
