Stylization Definition
Stylization refers to representing something in a non-naturalistic, but conventional form. In the context of art it refers to conforming to a particular style or being consistent. Taken positively consistent stylization depicts artist’s adherence to a particular ideal or value. Negatively a consistent stylized approach may be considered as monotonous or lacking originality. The prehistoric depiction of Uffington White Horse, England is an example of stylization.
