The term Stylus in the context of art refers to the sharp, pointed instrument used to draw or inscribe. The ancient Mesopotamians used stylus to write in cuneiform script. Stylus had been used by Romans to write upon wax tablets. Iron, brass, bones were used to make stylus and they were also used to engrave clay.
