A color’s attribute or characteristic known as temperature is measured in relation to another color or area around it referenced as warm, neutral or cool. Warmer color denotes a high temperature key, whereas cool color indicates a low temperature key. It is also known as contrast key, tonal key, chroma key, and value key.
