The Napa Valley Model Railroad Historical Society was formed in 1955 for the purposes of constructing an HO Scale layout and to advance the hobby of model railroading in the Napa Valley and surrounding areas.

The North County Model Railroad Society is a not-for-profit benefit corporation whose mission is to share the hobby of model railroading.

The trains we operate sometimes mix eras or locations, so it is not uncommon to see a steam-powered train operating on the layout at the same time as a modern diesel-powered intermodal lashup.
