The JSSUS is recognized by the IRS as a charitable and educational organization for the appreciation and advanced study of the Japanese art sword and related fields of interest.

Starting from a private collection

The organization was founded in 1952 by the directors of six major Midwestern museums to provide professional, high quality, and cost effective art conservation services.

The Society of Israel Philatelists (SIP) was founded in New York City shortly after Israel became a sovereign state in 1948. The SIP is devoted to the philately of the Holy Land, Israel and Judaica.

The American Lock Collectors Association was founded in 1970. Its purpose is to educate, socially unite and discover new lock collectors.

AAMUC was founded early in 1977 by a small group of collectors of American military uniforms who felt the need to work together to improve their personal collections and themselves by exchanging their ideas and knowledge.

The Federation is a non-profit organization co-founded in 1984 by Russell S. Haslage Jr. & Eugene W. Roddenberry Sr. and is the official Gene Roddenberry fan organization.
