Art Law Definition
Art Law is a form of law which includes various disciplines that opens doors for creation, use and promotion of arts along with controlling and guarding it. Art law does not specifically deal with all the all the issues in the art world for the reason that it is not a separate legislation, art or a unified legal doctrine. Some of the disciplines involved are intellectual property, contract, tort, commercial law etc. Art law is usually defined in the terms of fine arts or visual arts, even though the term ‘arts’ in broad sense includes music, film, theater and literature.
