Deming Jarves found The Boston & Sandwich Glass Company at Sandwich, Massachusetts in 1825. Jarves made many improvements with the mechanical pressing machine which revolutionized the blowing and cutting techniques. This helped the company to mass produce table ware. Other Boston & Sandwich products included candle sticks, paper weights, spoon holders and perfume bottles.
