Campbell Kids Definition
Campbell Kids were fictitious characters, a girl and boy of average age, that was designed by Grace Drayton, a popular illustrator. They were first used in 1904 in Campbell Soup Company advertisements. The Campbell Soup Company spent heavily on advertisements and their Campbell kids were quite famous in the advertising market. These characters were later found dressed up for activities such as football, sailing, policing etc. By late 2oth century, Campbell Kids were designed as to give them a slimmer and contemporary look.
