Caramel Slag Definition
Slag glasses are opaque glasses with colored streaks. They look like marble cakes. They are available in different shades and shapes in the market. However, commonly slag glass is seen in different shades of caramel (light brown color). Caramel slag vases, toothpick holders, fruit bowls, pitchers, light fixtures, planters, figurines, and other collectibles are seen available in the antique market. These types of glasses were seen manufactured right from the late 19th century. Around 1880. Some people often confuse it with Chocolate glass, which is a different type of glass.
