Center Of Gravity Definition
Center of gravity is the point of rest or point of balance of an object or system. It is the position from where the weight of the object or system may act. An object balances perfectly in all its dimensions at this point. Center of mass is the same in a uniform gravitational field. Performance artists make use of the center of gravity to maintain excellent balance, stability, and flexibility. The concept is also applied in other art work. For example, in the art of rock balancing.
