Cercle Et Carr Definition
Cercle Et Carr was a group of abstract artists who came in Paris in 1929. The group consist of different artists such as Luigi Russolo, Fernand Léger, Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, and Amédée Ozenfant. Most of the artists were painters. The word Cercle Et Carr is the French translation for ‘circle and square.’A journal was published by this community with the same name and an exhibition was conducted by them in Paris with 130 creations of different artists.
