Chance Definition
In art, the term ‘chance’ is related to Aleatoricism. Aleatoricism is the integration of chance to the method of creation, mainly the making of art or media. Aleatoricism is associated with literature, art, music, and film. The Dadaists, a group of artists in a European artistic and literary movement of 1916-1923, embraced ‘chance’ as a way to express their works of art. They subsequently merged casual occurrence with conscious creations to attain a balance between art and anti-art.
