Chiton Definition
A Chiton is a Greek tunic. It is a simple garment made of lighter linen worn by all, irrespective of gender and age. The clothing is a covered garment held on shoulders by a brooch called fibula. Chiton is found in two forms, the Doric chiton and the Ionic chiton. The Doric is simple whereas the Ionic uses wider piece of cloth. Chitons are associated with Etruscan art. Artists use them in paintings, chiton canvas prints etc.
