Blown Glass Definition
The term Blown glass refers to designer glassware made by forcing air into molten glass and is one form of Art glass. The molten glass is blown with the help of a blowpipe or blow tube. In earlier days a few types of blown glasses or art glasses were made by hand blown techniques. Blown glass can be created in a large number of shapes and colors can be integrated in it by way of a wide range of techniques. A person who makes blown glass is called a glassblower, glassmith, or gaffer.
