A corkscrew is a tool used in kitchen for taking corks from bottles. It has a metallic helix which is pointed and is attached to a handle. It is used by screwing the tool into the cork and pulling it out. The oldest form of corkscrews were 'gun worm' a tool made by blacksmiths during 17th century.
