Dapping Block is a cube shaped tool. It is usually made of steel. Hemispherical depressions of various sizes are made on the surface of the block. A dapping block is generally used to create domes. Steel rods that have domes that match with the hemispherical depressions on a dapping block are termed dapping punches.
