Daum Definition
The term Daum refers to a glassware manufacturing company which was found by Jean Daum at Nancy in France in 1875. The company is now known as Cristalleries de Nancy and is continuing production. The mark has been used in several variations. Usually, most of the products used the name of the city and the artist. The glass wares produced early often had heraldic crests and were cut or enameled. Besides that, the word ‘martele’ is used to explain decorations that are carved or etched during the course of the cameo process.
