The term deuteranopia refers to defective color vision in making out the difference between red and green. A person with this defect has complete insensitivity to middle wavelengths and sees only hues of yellow and blue. A person suffering from Deuteranopia may also be unable to figure out the difference between colors such as violet, lavender, purple, and blue in the absence of dimming.
