Duco Definition
Duco was the trade name of a line of products that were manufactured by the DuPont Company. Paints and adhesives are examples of some Du Pont products that were assigned the Duco brand name. Dupont introduced a quick drying paint product under the name Duco in 1924. This paint product is simply nitro cellulose lacquer and was originally designed for the automotive industry. However, Duco was also seen used by some artists, for example, the Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros. Duco is still used as an Australian colloquialism for automotive cover.
