Empiricism is a belief according to which experience is considered as the only basis of knowledge. The empiricism theory states that sensory experience is the primary source of knowledge. The theory dictates that we have to sense first and then learn.  The pragmatists and local positivists of the 20th century followed Empiricism principles.
