Hydria Definition
Hydria refers to an Ancient Greek water jar or jug with three handles and rounded shoulders. The two handles are horizontal and the third is a vertical handle. It is attached to the neck of the jar or jug and helps in in pouring. Hydria were used to draw or fethch water from wells and fountains. Alabastron, amphora, kantharos, krater, and kylix are other types of Greek Vases.
