Those manuscripts or texts which are beautified or decorated with borders, mini figures and illustrations are called illuminated manuscripts. Usually such decorations are done with gold and silver for more illumination. Islamic manuscripts typically has illuminated manuscripts and texts. Such manuscripts evolved during 400 AD and 600 AD in Eastern Roman Empire and Italy.
