Kayserzinn Definition

Kayserzinn refers to Jugendstil pewter ware of exceptional high quality.  "Kayserzinn" is also known as "Kayser pewter." It is a special lead-free alloy of tin and silver. The main characteristic is its lasting shine.  These Jugendstil pewter ware designs were made from the Cologne studio of Englebert Kayser. The main designer was Hugo LEVEN (1874-1956), along with Karl Geyer (1858-1912), Hermann Fauser(1874-1947), Karl Berghof(1881-1967).
