Moorcroft Definition
Moorcroft pottery began as a studio in James Macintyre & Company, England. William Moorcroft, who managed the art pottery department of the company, personalized each piece of the pottery with his initials. The popular designs of Moorcroft are floral and fruit designs on dark blue background. The product line includes compotes, ginger jars, pin trays, pitchers, vases and ashtrays.
