Polish means to give a finishing to an artwork. The term polish may also be used to refer to any material that gives a finishing and smoothening effect to a particular material or surface. Polishing may be done either by applying a layer of polishing substance on a surface or by usage of chemicals and allowing it to react and can even be done by rubbing by using an abrasive product. Polishing makes a surface smooth and shiny.
