Retrospective Definition
In the context of art, the term retrospective refers to an exhibition which displays all the art works that were done by an artist during his life time. Usually, the principal purpose of organizing a retrospective is that it paves way for the audience to do an in-depth learning about the artist’s usual style, techniques employed, and his main subjects of choice for creating an art work. Besides that, when an artist’s works are exhibited, they are exhibited in a chronological manner.
