Retina Definition
Retina is a part of eye which lies opposite the lens in eye. This is a fragile membrane which is sensitive to light and is layered with multiple membranes. It acts as a lining for the eyeball inside. Retina acts as receptors of light and consist of numerous cells of brain called the neurons. These cells are again divided into rods and cones connected to brain through the nerves to pass information to brain. Retina is just like a film inside a camera.
