Sable is a mammal belonging to weasel family and a native of Siberia and China. Sable hair is used to make brushes that an artist can use in painting. Kolinsky Sable paint brush is regarded as the best brush by professional artists. Although named as Kolinsky sable brush, this famous brush is not made from sable hair. The tail of a species of mink which is also a member of the weasel family is used to make the brush hair.
