A person who teaches or instructs another is known as teacher. When used in the context of art, teacher means a person who teaches in an art school or academy. Apart from the regular teacher in art academies, we can see teaching artists who provide training and guidance in art.  Teaching artists are also called artist educators or community artists. These professional artists teach and integrate their art form, perspectives, and skills into a wide range of settings. Teaching artists work with schools, after school programs, community agencies, prisons, jails, and social service agencies.
