Batignolles group refers to a group of painters who used to meet at Café Guerbois in evenings and discussed on improving their artistic abilities. These painters were connected with impressionism but they did not establish any particular style of painting. The painters included Edouard Manet, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Ignace-Henri-Jean-Théodore Fantin-Latour, and Alfred Sisley.
