Chrome Definition
Chrome is a bright, silvery, hard metal used in making stainless steel. It is also used as a decorative substance for corrosion- resistant plating. Even after its discovery in 1798, the metal’s potential as a decorative substance was not realized until 1925 because of its non-availability in the commercial market. In the 1930 tubular-steel furniture designs by modern movement designers like Le Corbusier and Breuer utilized chromium plates that made an impact in their design. &
