Circumference Definition
The word circumference originated from the Latin term "circumferential," which means ‘carrying around.’ Circumference is the linear distance around a closed circular object. It simply means the enclosing boundary of a circle or any other curved geometric shape. Circumference of a circle is related to the mathematical constant, π (pi). Circumference of a circle = 2 π r; where, π = 3.14 and r = radius of the circle. Artists use the formulae/concept in their drawings and art work.
