Collodion Wet Plate Definition
Collodion Wet Plate refers to the early photographic technique involving a process of adding collodion onto a plate of thin iron or glass. The plate was immersed in a solution of silver nitrate in the dark room. The wet plate was then exposed in the camera. The plate is developed using pyrogallic acid solution and fixed using sodium thiosulfate solution. The collodion wet plate technique is witnessing a current revival.
