Davy Crockett Definition
Davy Crockett is the name of an American legendary frontiersman who was born in 1786 and died in 1836. From 1825 to 1835, Davy Crockett had won and lost several runs for candidacy in the U.S. House of Representatives. Davy Crockett rose to new fame when, in 1954, the Walt Disney television show ran a series of episodes featuring Fess Parker as Davy Crockett. Following this, hundreds of different Davy Crockett items were made and numerous Coonskin caps and buckskins became popular. These are popular collectibles.
