De Ploeg Definition
The term ‘de ploeg’ refers to an artist collective which was established by a group of young artists in 1918 at Groningen in Netherlands. The primary motive of the collective was to make way for fresh opportunities and to disseminate about the advancements in the fields of art, architecture, and literature. De ploeg stood reputed for various art styles such as expressionism, constructivism, and impressionism. The collective is still in existence though not as active as in the 1920s.
