Dragging is a decorative painting technique. Dragging is used to give a textured paint effect. Interior decorators often use the dragging paint effect on the bedroom walls. This effect is given by dragging the bristles of a brush through a wet glaze which produces blurry striped effect. An uneven section of the base coat color is also seen through the glaze. Dragging is also known as scruffing. This paint effect is seen on walls and wooden furniture.
