Drum Scanner Definition
Drum scanner is an optical scanner designed for use with a computer. In this device, the original image (for example, a photograph) to be scanned is attached or clamped around a drum. During the scanning operations, the drum on which the image is mounted spins fast (more than 1000 RPM) and a light source scans the image to capture a digital version of the image. Drum Scanners are used to get the highest resolution from an image.
