Folk Art refers to paintings, sculpture or any art work produced by artists or artisans who had no formal training. Folk Art reflects the characteristics of the people or place where the art work was made. Thus the pieces depicting same idea may differ in color or texture depending upon the artist. Handmade furniture, religious paintings and tramp art are different forms of Folk Art.
