Indirect Casting Definition
Indirect casting is a lost-wax process of metal casting in which the original model is not lost during the casting process. In indirect casting, a wax cast that is taken from a piece mold extracted from the original model is lost. In all indirect casting process, a second wax model is casted from the original model. This second wax model is referred to as an intermodal or an indirect casting. This form of casting was known to the Greeks right from seventh century BC.
