Kush Definition
Kush art works of an African dynasty that is contemporary with early imperial Rome. Kush is also known as Meroitic art. Meroitic civilization thrives along the banks of Nile River that is the land of Kush. The land referred is now known as Sudan. They traded with Egypt, Greece, Rome and in Near East lands. This is reflected in their art work that absorbs these external influence and has adapted to serve the local rulers.
