Post Impressionism Definition

Post-impressionism is an art movement that came after the impressionist art form during 1886-1905 in France. The stage of impressionism emphasised on natural depiction of colour and light and also gave preference to abstract contents in art. Post-impressionism emerged as a reaction to this impressionist art. The term post impressionism was introduced by Roger fry who was a British artist and a great art critic.
