In the context of computers, hyperlink refers to an icon, phrase, picture, word etc. which usually stands highlighted in a document or a webpage .When the user clicks a hyperlink, another part of the same document, or a new document or a web page is opened up. A document which includes a hyperlink is termed as its source code document. Hyperlinks are usually used to make a reference to data such as tables of contents, index, footnotes and bibliographies.
