The term Purses generally refer to a small pouches made of leather or plastic usually used for carrying money by women. Purses have been common since the eighteenth century, when leather and needlework purses were more preferred. Beaded purses became trendy in the nineteenth century and later went out of style and again came in use. Mesh purses existed from 1880s and are still in use. Distinctive designer purses were made by famous designers like Dior and Balenciaga after 1945. These designer purses have certain antique value and are available for sale.
