Type Definition
In typography, type refers to the letterform created mechanically, electronically or photographically. In twentieth century, a small metal or wooden block etched with the character when inked and pressed on paper will leave imprints. These days, computer and printer have taken over printing function. Type is also known as typeface. Type also refers to the full range of type including letterforms, numerals, punctuations and other characters that are consistency in their design form.
