UCC Definition
UCC means the Uniform Commercial Code. In the U.S., state laws regulate auction. State auction rules and laws may vary from state to state. The Uniform Commercial Code is the original basis for auction laws in 49 states of the United States (except Louisiana). These states have adopted/drafted most of the UCC provisions into their individual state laws. The State of Louisiana enacted only part of the Code. We often hear the term 'UCC' used in antique auctions. UCC is a code of commerce.
