Blue Four Definition
Blue four is an artist group that was founded by Galka Scheyer in 1924. Scheyer was an art collector, dealer, painter, and teacher and she took the initiative to organize the first Blue Four exhibition. Painters Paul Klee; Wassily Kandinsky; Lyonel; Feininger; and Alexej Jawlensky are its members. They conducted exhibitions in the U.S., Germany, and Mexico. The German equivalent for Blue Four is Blaue Vier.
